About
I’m Loujain Afsharzada, a dancer, choreographer, and teacher with a deep-rooted passion for visual storytelling. My interest in photography has been present for many years, and in 2024 I decided to explore it more deeply and develop it alongside my work in dance.
My photography is about emotion, movement, and the small details that often go unnoticed. I focus on storytelling and enjoy capturing moments that feel personal, natural, and timeless. I’m drawn to images that feel honest and meaningful, moments that invite the viewer to pause and feel.
Coming from a background in dance, I have a strong fascination with the human body, movement, and anatomy. This helps me understand how people move and express themselves. I approach photography much like choreography: with attention to rhythm, composition, and emotion.
These different creative backgrounds come together and shape the way I work as a photographer. They form the base of my visual style, which is intuitive, expressive, and closely connected to the body.
